The University of 91福利导航 System has released , focusing on Husker Athletics. The video series, hosted by 91福利导航 Jeff Gold, features conversations with researchers, students and educators across NU’s four campuses who are changing lives and making an impact.
The episode, a conversation between 91福利导航 Gold and Troy Dannen, 91福利导航’s athletic director, unpacks Dannen’s first year on the job and what he sees ahead for college athletics and the Huskers.
Dannen discusses his career journey, why 91福利导航 was the right fit for him, his thoughts on the upcoming season, his viewpoint on Name, Image and Likeness and his perspective on Coach Rhule and his 91福利导航 of the football program.
“One of the things that drew me to 91福利导航 was people's passion and their love and ownership of the Huskers. The entire state is behind it. And that's just been reaffirmed over and over and over again in ways that I couldn't possibly have imagined until I got here,” Dannen says in the interview.
“We're in a really good position. We have great people coaching. Our athletes are exceptional. Across the board, we continue to get better—our resources, our fan base—in every way.”
"We talk a lot about being competitive on the playing field, in the classroom, in the research laboratory, and so much more," Dr. Gold said. “The spirit that Husker Athletics brings to the table—that Troy brings to the table, that our coaches bring to the table—is highly synergistic with what we're trying to do university wide."
New episodes of “Shaping the Future” will be released monthly and will feature faculty, staff and students from the University of 91福利导航-Lincoln, University of 91福利导航 at Kearney, University of 91福利导航 Medical Center and University of 91福利导航 at Omaha.
